Welcome to Ducklings

As a member of the Torridge DCMA Quality Assured Childminders, I have achieved the standard above that set by OFSTED. We are inspected every 8 weeks by our network co-ordinator and I also work as a Support Childminder covering the Torridge area of North Devon.

We run a Drop-In Group on a Friday morning, at the Bideford Sure Start Children’s centre between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM, which you are welcome to come in and meet us all.

I offer a completely separate playroom, specially designed for the purpose, with its own entrance door and toilet/wash facilities. Leading from the room there is a large deck area for outdoor play. From this, secured by a locked gate, there is a fenced garden with  a pond for nature and wildlife interest. (This area is only used for supervised visits).

Age Range

I am able to look after children from 0-14 years old.
Either on a full time or part time basis.

Places are restricted but I always to accommodate, and are happy to place your child’s name on our waiting list.

Collection

I am able to deliver and collect from St. Mary’s Primary School and Grenville School, in Bideford.

As I am positioned behind Bideford College I am able to offer an after school placing, for children attending the college, as long as parents are happy for the child to walk from the college to Ducklings by themselves after school has finished.

I encourage children to spend their time after school time with me, to complete their homework, so that their time is free later to spend with your family.

I am also happy to offer a drink and snack, cooked meal if required (at extra cost).

Opening Hours

I am open from 8 AM to 6 PM. Monday to Friday.
Term time and during school holidays.

(We can be flexible at other times if pre arranged.)

Exceptions

You will be notified in advance of any days that we shall be closed due to personal arrangements/holidays.
