About

Hi, my name is Maggie Howlett and I am a registered childminder with Ofsted. My husband’s name is Allan and we have two daughters, Zoe and Meah.

I live just outside the village of Woodland, which is near Ashburton (1.5 miles away). On our smallholding of approximately 4.8 acres, we have an acre sized lake, stocked with numerous types of fish including carp, pike, rud and eels. A large copse of woodland is home to wild roe deer, badgers and foxes. Boating on the lake, picnics near the stream or exploring the rest of the land – whatever you fancy – don your wellies, it’s all here to enjoy.

We also have sheep with their lambs (on loan) for Spring and Summer time. We often have a kingfisher that regularly visits, with plenty of pheasants and buzzards also. Most days we have a gaggle of wild geese that like to fly over and play on the lake!

Our pets include a collie dog called Meg, 2 cats namely Jo and George and we have 6 resident Aylesbury ducks!

The smallholding is separate from the house and is secured with a 5 bar gate. The main gardens are also gated from the minor road, therefore making it a safe haven for children to play.

Opening Times

8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday with out of hours and weekends negotiable.

Prices

£3.00 per hour and £5.00 per hour for unsocial hours and bank holidays.

Limited number of spaces available for birth upwards.
