About My Service

Your child will have the support he/she needs, but will also have the opportunity to gain the feeling of independence when safe to do so. By this I mean, I will let the child guide me and be on hand to offer a hug or hold hands if they are unsure, but also recognise when to take a step back and let your child have a go and sort problems out themselves. I will never allow your child to take unsafe risk.

I encourage children to help each other and work together as a team. We also do group activities, such as cooking and large-scale painting. Children are encouraged to take turns, think about other people's feelings and being used to meeting other children they may not know as well. This gives children the skills they need when they start pre-school and school. I am aware that some children are naturally shy and I would give lots of support and not put any child in a situation they couldn't cope with. Any issues/events would be brought to your attention promptly.

At meal time I sometimes let the children prepare their own, I do this in a way which is achievable for the child and encourage older children to help the younger children (which little ones love!). I find if a child is a reluctant eater this activity helps, the children gain confidence, independence and learn a lot about texture and taste choice. That's not to mention life skills. And you may get edible breakfast in bed, still working on my children!

Fees

Only when contracts have been completed and deposit/holding fee is place guaranteed. (please contact me for details).

All invoices are to be paid either four weeks in advance or weekly in advance. Any extra charges are included in the following invoice. If you require a set payment plan or payment can't be met on the above conditions, please tell me as soon as the invoice is received.

Also, emergency care must be paid in advance (non-contracted children).

Standard Hourly Rate: £3.00hr (hours booked)

Special Rates

Holiday: Half Rate (up to 3 weeks - extra may be allowed in special cases)
Out of hours before 7.30am or after 6pm: £4.00hr
Late collections: see below

10 minutes grace for late collections. Charges after this will be per half hour.

To arrange extra childcare at standard fee (out of hours rate still applies) you must give a minimum of 24 hours notice.

If I am unable to care for your child due to illness or holiday no charges will apply.
